| Interlink seem to be very good employers, I've had contact with people who work for them and I've seen their contracts. Don't listen to the people here who are negative towards the entire world. As for paying the remaining rent, they are talking about the remainder of the month. |

Knock it off. Let's not get this thread locked, shall we?
turkzonline, you're entitled to your opinion, but don't start labeling those who disagree with you.

Just another update, in case anyone comes to this thread searching for more info on Interlink. This is from a good friend of mine in Khobar right now:
"You'll be shocked to hear that in the same day we got our passports with exit-entry visas, medical insurance cards, Iqamas, bank papers, and our month's salary... It only took them a few weeks to get everything. And they're letting us keep both our Iqama and passport. So everyone is quite happy and pleased with the new company."
Kinda wishing I'd signed up for another year! |

Yo yo yo dawggy-dogs. It's the original mofo'ing poster.
Replies have seemed quite reassuring regarding work in ME, in that the contract thing I mentioned has been cited as unusual.

If all this is indeed the case then fair enough and I wish they'd been clear about just how reasonable they are. Seems strange that they wouldn't have been at pains to reassure about this, given how urgently they seemed to want me over there.

If you really MUST argue grammar I know just the guy waiting for you in Angeles City, The Philippines. Old Ron is a retired Air Force NCO who simply can't resist finding a grammar error in any piece of writing. He is the be all and end all of prescriptive grammarians. If you don't believe me just ask him and he will tell you so. PM me & I'll tell you how to argue your case with a keyboard commander extraordinaire. |

Interlink have approached me with the offer of an interview. I guess they are looking at a start date in the early new year, although it doesn't say. I had a pretty bad experience with Edex in the autumn and left to go back to the UK after 2 months, so I am very cautious about anyone and anything KSA related.
I've read this thread, which is pretty much a mixed bag ie nothing too damning, but I'd like to hear directly if I can from anyone who has worked for Interlink, or better still anyone who is with them now (is this forum blocked still in Saudi?). Main points would be visa situation, accommodation, reliable payers, conditions, what are the students like etc. Any help appreciated. Thanks. |

Guys, i joined interlink in September. If anyone wants real information about them pm me.
I have only seen good things from them. They processed my iqama within a month and a half, pay us on time, give us freedom in the teaching style we want to apply, and are bringing my family over on a dependant visa (I was awaiting my son to be born before giving them the papers). I have my passport and iqama with me and can keep them no problem.
Negative things include a really new program and sites (which always involve problems). Also, there is no curriculum, each teacher teaches the students on what they deem fit, which is a more holistic approach. Another negative is the provided accommodation, which is big, but with very little furniture. It is also faaaaar away from downtown. You can take the allowance, which I took, and then there's no problem. Yes, some people have had some bad experiences regarding this, but this is because they took the allowance then wanted to change. Be smart and take the allowance from the beginning. If you come here request a work visa from the beginning. This is what I did and got it. Others who got the visit visa were supposed to travel to process the iqama a month ago but this has been delayed to the break in March.
The teachers who left our site were complainers. Seriously, I couldn't even hang out with them after work. In my view, they just had a negative outlook on everything and we were happy to see them leave.
Anyways guys, if you wanna join them leave ur baggage behind. Ask people who work there and don't just relay second hand information. |

Bigballer very fortunate.
I am getting mail that Interlinks brought in a ton of people on visit visas. Told them today that they must leave the country every 30 days on new rules. Told them 10,000 riyal fine if they are caught and company will not back them up |

| Not a bad deal if they pay the ticket and hotels, etc when you leave for 5 days every month. A five day vacation in Bahrain every month... Hmmmmmm... Let's see...... Bahrain or Saudi Arabia for five days. NO BRAINER.... |

There was a person who they forgot to renew his visa and the company had to pay 10.000, not the person. Be more clear so that people dont get tricked into the company charging you that money.
Yes, they got some people oni visit visas and thought they can stay for over 180 days, but didn't realize that the person must leave every 30 days. They are fixing this right now so I don't think there is a need to worry.
Look dude, the company is very understanding. I work there and know that for a fact. Yes, there are occasional problems, but overall things are good. |
