|
|
| Hi everyone! I am currently looking for work in the Middle East and Africa. Since Africa is proving to be a little more difficult, I've decided to move to focus on the Middle East for the time being. I have a BA in International Studies and a Master's Certificate in ESL. Unfortunately, I have no teaching experience (besides student teaching and tutoring). Can someone please give me some good places to work for recent graduates? All the places I have encountered or reached out to me have horrible reviews. |

| Sorry I can't be helpful, but could I ask what a Master's Certificate is? Is it an actual postgrad degree or something different? I think this info might also help people to direct you in terms of possible jobs for someone with these qualifications. |

| Hey! It a post graduate certificate that certifies you in a particular area. In my case I took graduate courses in TESL. After a year I was certified to teach ESL. |

I have never heard of such a certificate... where exactly are you certified to teach ESL?
With a cert that isn't commonly recognized and zero experience, I suspect that your chances will be much less in the Middle East than in North Africa. As you have found, only the employers that you don't want to work for are the ones that will respond.
To be honest, there are no entry level jobs that I would recommend with your limited credentials. Now if you have a new MA in TEFL/TESL, you would have a bit better luck.

| Thank you for your advice:) If that's the case I'll be more open to other places. |
