Greetings!

I have been searching thru the forum all morning & finding useful things about both Bali & Ubud, but am wondering if someone can give a quick current update?

I was thinking of arriving in Indonesia in September - is there any chance to find a job in either Bali or Ubud at that time?

I love both islands & enjoyed visiting them when I lived in Singapore, just not sure it's realistic to live there as a teacher.

Maybe a volunteer w/ expenses covered?

Anyway, all current info on teaching in either place would be so much appreciated!

cheers,
nicole

Hi,

First, I'm afraid you're a bit confused. Ubud is a town on the island of Bali.

Secondly, while there are jobs available in Bali, because everybody wants to work there, the pay tends to be pretty bad. For example EF pays around Rp6 million a month if I'm not mistaken. Even with free housing thrown in, this will not really leave you enough to have much fun on. If money is not a problem, then yes, there are jobs available- just don't expect to save much.

Sorry if I burst your bubble. I hope you find something that makes you happy.

Ha ha! Too much brain activity, not enough thinking....

Just fixed it. Hope that's not cheating.
