I'm in Fujian. The classrooms are about 62 degrees. I wear a coat in class. My apartment is 64 degrees without the heaters on. No, it's probably not cold like it is in your hometown, but it's still darn chilly here! I expect to be cold outside, but I really hate being cold indoors.

I'm in Xi'an. about 0 to 5C (32F to 42F for Americans) in apartment and classroom in winter. You are lucky. Buy an electric blanket here. A lifesaver. They don't insulate here and concrete gets very cold. |

Totally agree about the electric blankets, and yes, stone/marble/concrete floors get, and stay, oh so cold.

I wear sweat pants and shirts from Old Navy to sleep every night now and typically while in my apartment. My Chinese concubine usually wears her coat inside.
It's cols.
I have never used the wall air conditioner / heater and I use an oil filled heater when I am really cold and to dry the bath towels. If I don't dry the towel they are always wet.
My building is poured concrete with zero insulation - as is the standard here. And most days it is much colder inside then outside. |
