Hello everyone,
I am possibly interested in seeking work at a university in Hong Kong, but I am not sure how the market is or how competitive/demanding the market is.
So here goes... I have around 5 years' experience teaching EFL and nearly 2 of that teaching EAP (various countries). I hold undergraduate degrees in modern languages from an American university, and I have two MA's (one in Russian (US uni), and more recently in TESOL (UK uni). I also hold the CELTA and Delta...
So all of that in mind, what kind of prospects can I expect? I am looking at HKU and CUHK at the moment, but will consider others.
More importantly, what are teaching loads and professional development like? How about salary vs. local cost of living?
Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated! |
