Hi,
Have been doing a lot of research and am considering sending applications off to Oman. From what I have read Sohar or Salalah seem the best fit for me though I read somewhere that only SQU is Muscat is the only place that will supplement costs of children in International schools (I have 2; aged 16 and 14.) Is this true?
Also, what are the international schools like in Muscat or Sohar/Salalah???
Finally, what are folks experience of International schools across the ME excl. Saudi Arabia. Which employers pay some of the costs for international schools??
thanks |

There are no western international schools in Salalah for higher than grade/year 8 (or around that age). There is an Indian and Pakistani school here. |

Try the Sultan's School in Muscat, which is probably the most prestigious private school in Oman.
They offer the IB and IGCSE curriculum for your children. There's also the British School in Muscat for ages 3-18, and Muscat International School in Ruwi for ages 3-18.
They used to pay for teachers' children, but I don't know recently. You had to be well qualified to get a job there (ie. PGCE/BA/MA).
I don't think there are any international schools in Sohar/Sur. |

Which ESL provider in Muscat would supplement costs to these schools. Is it just SQU? |
