Hello all,

If I may get someone to 'play ball' with me here for a bit, it would help my cause and perhaps provide you with a minor amusement.

After reading pages of Oman-related posts, I find that I do not necessarily need to join the chorus; the opportunity to send a couple of PMs would answer my few, direct questions.

I am at a roadblock with the requisite 5 posts before this can occur. If someone has a better way to jump this hurdle, let me know and I'm there.

Just wander about the board and make 4 more posts, then you need not worry about it anymore. Perhaps the general discussion board?

Yes, I had thought of that, but until I have something to contribute, don't see the point. My questions will get answered or they won't; the current stops for no one.

The rule is not merely to inconvenience you... it is to stop spammers that join and send PMs to all. It has happened in the past.

I'm sure that you could find a thread with enough nonsense that you could join in and contribute...

Lots of good stuff here and am not shy about speaking up when I have something to say that would move a thread along (obviously that hasn't happened yet!).
