Air Madrid, they had long queues at Barajas the other day. Overbooking you might say?

Make sure you suss them out completely before flying with them. There were queues in Barajas airport for flight to most cities in south america. People were waiting 3, 4 days for their flights , it was all over the news.

Cheers,

You actually don't have to be a student (or pretend to be a student) to get deals through STA Travel..You just have to be under 25. They issue you a youth card, just like the ISIC, and you are eligible for the student discount. I flew from LA in June for about $900 round trip and the return flight is flexible for a year. AND, like Michelle said, you can add stopovers without extra cost. Woohoo, Costa Rica Smile But I would rather pay $600 and not get that feature...I never saw a deal like that when I was looking for my tickets. Ah, well. Congrats to those who did!

I looked into this, it's interesting and it just shows you that being a student has advantages.

If you can swing a student fare (i.e. have an e-mail address with .edu, have an ISIC card/expired university ID, or can just con your way into it) try www.studentuniverse.com or www.statravel.com. I've seen really good fares for all over Latin America through both of these sites.
