Inspired by all of the abhorrent TV commercials I've seen of late for the hackneyed 'Soundtrack to the Summer', I'd like to ask which tracks would you compile for the ultimate 'TEFL Soundtrack'?

How about 'Words' by Boyzone ... 'ABC' by the Jackson Five ...

(This CD compilation is not really all that marketable, is it?)

Thanks For The Memories, and I Found My Thrill by Fats Domino (for the ever-enthralled)
Themes from The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits (for those in war zones or looney bins)
Crazy by Patsy Cline (for obvious reasons sometimes)
Like a Virgin by Madonna (for the newbies)
Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley (for split shift workers and those in private high schools)
Theme from Fahrenheit 451 (for those of us who have never found the right textbook)
Memories by Barbra Streisand (for all of those students who forget)
Ain't That A Shame by Fats Domino (for the grammar purists)
The Wall by Pink Floyd (what we all feel we have hit or talked to from time to time)
School's Out (For Summer) by Alice Cooper (for the lucky ones)
Bewildered by Mark Knopfler (for "those" students who just don't get it)

Children's version would have all of the songs from Grammar House Rock:
Noun: "A Noun is a Person, Place, or Thing"
Verb: "Verb: That's What's Happening"
Adverb: "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly, Adverbs Here"
Pronoun: "Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla"
Adjective: "Unpack Your Adjectives"
Conjunction: "Conjunction Junction"
Interjection: "Interjections!"

9 to 5 by Dolly Parton (for those in HS or in a real grind of a job)
Wasted Days, Wasted Nights by Freddie Fender (for the unprepared or for those only in this for the partying)
Money by several artists (for the greedy or the well-off)
Karma Chameleon by Culture Club (for those suffering culture shock?)
