Can't figure it out and actually I am computer literate. I posted the pic I wanted to use as my avatar on a separate page of my web site, posted the url in the appropriate space and guess what......Nothing. Is there a simpler way to upload a graphic for avatar use...................PLS Help

I put it in Favorites after clicking on the image.

1. Find a url (internet address) for an image that you like. Searching google for images will give image-only urls. Alternatively, hosting an image on a website is best, as then you aren't stealing bandwidth from someone else.

2. Login to Dave's and go to your profile.

3. Enter the image URL into the "link to offsite avatar" box.

4. Update your profile.

And for cryin' out loud, use an avatar that is a reasonable size: if you use a large avatar it really screws up the column spacing of the various posts.
