Do you think once people get used to it, it will be much more manageable? I'm curious if you guys think it will make things easier in the long run or not? |

It's meant the end of my days as a multi-millionaire, that's for sure. |

me too.
When I first came to Turkey, it took me ages to get to grips with thousands and millions and milliar. I had to count every 0000. But this way seems easy= like pounds and pence. But I can see the opposite of my original problem for Turks trying to work it out in YTL and kurus.
Its like anything - people soon get used to it. |

I'm curious if any one besides me can rember the day the 1,000,000 T.L came out. We got use to the numbers going up and we will all get use to the numbers coming down. By the way how the hell will we get change for the new 100 Y.T.L when you buy a drink or take a cab. |

Can you imagine eight people in a dolmus, all handing the (cigarette smoking) driver a hundred YTL note? It will happen. |

I remember. Calsimsek, can you remember how much your first salary was? Mine was 6 million TL a month! Less than the price of a beer in some places now |

Sep 1992 wage = 6,500,000 T.L a month. I think that was a little over 1000 $, not bad hay. |
