Hey I'm a student at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA USA, but an Australian Citizen. I'm taking my TESL coursework this summer. Following that, i have to do a practicum for 10 weeks in order to get certified. This would be between the end of september and the end of december. Generally, my instructors require me to be a teacher's assistant and gradually increase my teaching time until i teach an entire week of classes. I would welcome any location on the east coast. Frankly I'm not sure how financial support for this sort of thing is handled, so any offers would be welcome. Thanks. |

That's a bit of a tough one. I do believe that people undertaking TEFL/ESL/CELTA etc. courses in Australia do their practicum under the auspices of and organised by their own school. You may find it easier to do your practicum in the US. |

Hello,
What kind of practicum experience are you looking for?
I teach intensive ESL at Edmonds Community College, just north of Seattle. I might be able to facilitate something for you there.
Get in touch if you like.
