I'm sure people have already told you that December, especially late December, is the worst time of year to be looking for a job, and that from the 28th to January 4th, many places will be shut down completely.
One tip I can offer about job hunting...
If you plan to show up in person to hand in a resume, look professional. I've seen guys come in and wear jeans and faded T-shirts and have five o'clock shadow and messy hair. Japan is a land of first impressions and image. Look like you mean business.
Oh, and don't expect receptionists to always speak English, so know enough Japanese to get by with them. |
