I am currently in Costa Rica. I am looking for a short term or long term assignment in Japan for my girlfriend and I that starts in Jan or Feb of 2007. I know this is specific but if anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thanks, Ben

Ben, I suggest you have a degree or be from a country where you can get a working holiday visa. Then I suggest you start looking for a job in late November/early December/January. It's the summer man. Rolling Eyes

If you would like more specific information, I suggest you provide more details about yourself and your situation. I also suggest you use the search function and read more about Japan. To expect meaningful and helpful advice, that you want to hear, from a two-line throw it out there kind of statement seems silly. Rolling Eyes

However, all the information I have provided is valid and useful in your situation, given what you wrote.

Not a heckuva lot of short-terms jobs in Japan. Westage Corporation seems to be one of the rare ones that offers a contract less than a year in length.

If you want more help, you're going to have to describe yourself more.

Hmm, this thread is quite upsetting to look at!

Can't the both of you choose a nice picture, perhaps a pretty landscape, or a cute puppy (with fur!!) , maybe an attractive old building...
Don't you know that some of us have hangovers and are feeling queesy enough as it is??
just something for you to think about...

Cool
