Hello all,

I've had an idea for a warmer for one of my classes and would like some help fro you guys if you can.

Does anyone know of any Polish idioms and their direct English translation? I figured I'll see if I can get them to work out what the subject of the lesson is by translating the direct English translation back into Polish and then figuring it out.

If anyone can help out, that'd be great and of course useful contributions will be paid for by beer (as long as you live in Krakow).

Nie zawracaj mi gitary = Dont turn my guitar
mozesz mnie podrzucic = Can you throw me up
gowno mnie obchodzi = A s*** is going around me
Moja dziewczyna jest mi bardzo droga = My girlfriend is very expensive to me

kopnąć w kalendarz - to kick the calendar (=kick the bucket/die)
leje jak z cebra -....sorry i dont the word for word translation(i have a guess but ill keep it at that) (=it's raining cats and dogs)
