				| I hope I'm not asking a stupid question but I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to find a job at an international school starting in Dec/Jan. I'm looking in UAE/Kuwait/Oman. Here is some information about me:
 American currently living in England
 MA in TESOL
 BA in Elementary Education
3 years teaching elementary students, 4th grade
1 year working with adults, teaching a workshop on how to get a job
6 months experience teaching English to children

My contingency plan is to teach at a language school either in ME or Thailand if I cannot get into an international school. So my other question is: Are language schools that bad? I've read some bad things about them but I'm looking to work for about 1 year so even if it's not great I think I can handle it for that amount of time, as long as I'm in a good location.

Any and all comments are greatly appreciated!

				| In Oman the semester break is in January, and there may be vacancies if teachers leave mid-year. I'm speaking only about colleges and universities (my personal experience), but I imagine that international schools have the same schedule.

				| teachers always leave around break time, you should have no problem. But you might have to sign a two year contract. | |

				| In much, though by no means all, of Latin America, January or February could be the start of the school year.
 Best,

				| Thank you all for comments. I've been getting some interest from Oman and the Ministry of Higher Education. Any pros or cons for working with them? | |

Where in Oman? If you check the Oman forum, you'll see loads of posts about current events here--most of them negative.
Life can still be fairly easy and comfortable here, though.
