Hello people:
Roughly how many days should my private school admin be giving me for paid holidays this C-New Year? I'd like to say that I will be getting two whole weeks of paid holiday this year, but it seems that *one* working week will be all that's given. Is this a sham? Opinions please. |

What kind of private 'school'?
What kind of contract did you sign?
Does it conform to SAFEA? |

Check your contract.
Holidays should be clearly stated. |

If your working at a training school/language mill 7 to 10 days is the norm. If your working at a university or college, expect 6 to 7 weeks off. My first year in China at Joy School in Hefei, I received a week off for May Day, summer vacation, and ten days for Spring Festival. Hope this helps. |
