I've read a couple of posts here about employer-provided housing versus going it alone. In the short term, I think it would be good to go the first route. Regarding the independent way, since most flats don't have any furnishings, how did people get their necessities quickly? I don't have experience of moving into an unfurnished flat, so I'm thinking, okay- no tables, chairs and most importantly, no bed!
So, to all the die-hards on this board, what did you do when you moved into an unfurnished flat for the first time? How quickly did it take for you to sort that out? |

No answer for you, but here's another tip: In Mexico, unfurnished can often also mean not only no kitchen appliances but no cupboards or counters either! You may also have to buy a cocina which in this context means a little kitchen amoire unit with a miniscule counter space. Good luck! |

Unfurnished also usually means no fridge, stove or other appliances, either. |
