Hello,
I will be travelling down to Panama in the next few weeks to look for ESL job positions. Anyone in Panama that can offer me some help or guidance?
Thanks,

They're used to be a user with the name of panamapirate, or something like that. But I don't think he's on the baords anymore. From what I understand, it's hard to work there and doesn't draw as many TEFLers as say, Mexico. |

Unless you find someone willing to sponsor you for a work permit, play tourist and enjoy yourself, but the Immigration Police have arrest powers, badges and *gasp* guns!
Work permits are obtained by employers; the foreigner may not enter the country while it is 'in process', which takes months.
If you are caught, the fine is $1,000USD+, up to a year in jail and deportation for 15 years. The school is also fined.
You have been warned. |
