Interesting article here...

I liked the part about taking your own cassettes. What would you take? |

Damn, that's interesting.
Alright, next Soul Allnighter will be in Pyongyang. I'll just record everything onto tape. |

I've tried North Korean beer.
It's more delicious than South Korean beer and has a decent kick at 5% alc.
It's sold in some bars in Itaewon sometimes. |

It's a pretty old article, though. I clicked on one of the articles linked at the bottom and it was written in 1991. I suspect the article referenced here was about the same time, since it refers to people wearing lapel pins of Kim Il Sung, not Kim Jung Il.
I wonder what it's like now, 15 or so years later? |

I know a guy who spent six months in Pyongyang. It's possible I'll see him tomorrow so I'll ask him for an update.
PS) He even managed to have a North Korean girlfriend. |

I'd play Wind of Change by the Scorpions. Then I'd play Freedom by Rage Against the Machine. Then I'd play Maggie's Farm by Bob Dylan. That was Dylan, right? |
