Well, I'm going back to the Great White North for a little while and was wondering if anyone has had any success/failure stories using cards from the above banks?

My Christmas depends on you.

at hana bank, if you ask, they'll give you an international card so you can access your korean bank account from wherever you are. worked for me.

did you get it recently say in the last 6 months? I ask because my bank (Woori) said my pay comes from a transfer from Hana Bank where they do their payroll. It would make my life much easier since they are also outside my univs front gate. Every time I go to send money from Woori its a major production involving 3 people and an hour of my time

no, it wasn't that recent (two years ago) but i can't imagine it's changed. i just walked in a couple days before my trip, told them i was going away, and they set me up. I probably had my normal bank card and bank account book and ID

I used my BC card by nonghyup in Hong Kong over Chusok. It is the debit card not cash card. There are a few versions of the BC card, not all do the international ATM.

I used my Nonghyup Intl card in China back in August/September. No problems. Before I go to the States in February, however, I plan to transfer as much cash as possible just in case.
