OMG... that song was genuinely enjoyable. Nice one!

Now, why don't we see more of these guys (and groups like them) in the Korean musical mainstream? Why are we always subjected to sickening boy bands, k-pop princesses and hip-hop cretins?

This is a coincidence.

I posted a different Jaurim song on my website last friday that I was listening to.

I like the song from the OP but I prefer this one.

First song sucked. Second one was better.

K-Pop is what the Koreans do best, rock and rap both suck (at least compared to Japan).

What do people in their 30's listen to here?
Seems what I mostly see on TV are teen groups or "Trot" and pansori, stuff for the old folks.

Korea is just like any country. The mainstream is filled with garbage performed by fake pop idols whose voices are fixed up by computers to sound competent. If you're a talented musician who writes good music that gets people to think, it's pretty obvious you'll stay in obscurity.

Every time I turn on MTV here I'm reminded of that line from Blues Brothers: "oh we've got both kinds of music here..."

Isn't that the target market of that bombastic adjosshi rap? Dunno his name, but I always hear it when I am catching taxis.

Neither one of those Jaurim songs were any good..

What I don't understand is why people are so unable to find good Korean music. All you gotta do is get in a cab.. guaranteed to get the good stuff.
