How does America clean up?
America is often perceived as interested only in itself.
Past indiscretions in Central America, South America and the Middle East leave many without trust for the US. Current sabre rattling doesn't help.
But even if America does continue to make a mess we can still blame it on Europe since America was largely founded by Europeans.
The US used to be an example to follow.

I always have found it Eurocentric to count Sept. 1, 1939 as the start of World War II. The real duration in China was July 7, 1937 to August 14, 1945.

I didn't limit the messes Europeans created to Europe. I credit the Europeans with messing up all the continents. That's world-class talent.

You are quite right actually, and I nearly mentioned that myself. And if my memory serves me correctly, for some, the war didn't finish until 1946.
