Hi
Does anyone know if the "Imported Goods" section of Namdaemun is open in the evenings, say until around 6 or 7?
I have done an Internet search and I cannot find any opening/closing times.
Thanks

Ah, that's interesting.
I just don't want to go all the way up there to find that it is closed. I want those candy canes!!!!

I know that the insides of the buildings can be closed off on Sundays (especially the underground foriegn foods). Go towards Seodaemun (west gate) On that side of Namdaemun is a building which has foriegn food and nearby on the corner is a shop that is always open.
Speaking of candy canes, if you go into the building next to the underground entrance (right side) then go to the escalators and go down one flight. Next to them are a lot of foriegn food, especially candy canes. |

Closing time depends on which area of the market you are shopping. All usually close between 5-6pm, with a few areas staying open until 7pm.

The street-level vendors near the exits usually close last, so if you get there too late for the underground vendors, there are at least two street vendor areas who carry imported goods. If coming in from gate 1, walk straight and you'll see a group of vendors. There's also a few small kiosks on the small street NE of Mesa, who also usually carry imported candies. |

| I was at Namdaemun after 7pm on Sunday and saw candycanes. They weren't in a food store, but there were plenty of them. |
