Why don't you just read the City Journal and Dalrymple for the conservative view - the Guardian for the leftist, liberal view - and split the difference?

The difference (in?)between the two would be The Economist. Which I read religiously. I gave up on City Journal when they stubbornly kept pushing the marriage is only man-woman thing. The Guardian, well, I've never been crazy. I head over there once a day for a good laugh, maybe a f-bomb or two, and then I click away from the asylum.

Britain has only one important newspaper: the left-wing Guardian. Not only is it the sole remaining daily newspaper in the country whose content is mostly devoted to serious matters, but it is the only one that the unacknowledged legislators of the world, the intelligentsia, take seriously.

One of those instances where the first couple of sentences dictate that I've little need to consider the subsquent 200 more.

If you want a truly good source for the left-to-right spectrum of news, go to:

frustratedcities.com

They list all the headlines and subheadlines of the major news sources so you can see what they are covering, and if you want to read more, just click the headline. They also have many "spectrums," one that shows political bias, one that shows religious bias, etc.
