So, I dropped my trusty cellphone (again) and it has survived many terrible things and has all the marks to prove it. It has survived falling down a staircase. Several buttons on it fail to work properly. Once I even dropped it in my cab driver's coffee cup one very drunken night... he simply said "off is good" in broken English. At first the phone didn't work so well, but it "healed" itself over time. But this time, dropping it out of my gym locker, seems to have finished it off somewhat, although it still works properly 1/10 times I start it up.

So, in buying a new phone, I would like to get the Motorola Z (it looks cool) but I'd like a phone that will work in Canada.

I've heard (also from other posts here on Dave's) that it does since it uses a Sim Card. Can anyone verify this? Or add to the rumor mill?

From when I was looking around 6 months ago, I couldn't find any Korean phones that made their cell phones sim-card compatible.....They pretend to have a sim-card slot, but it's really for the metro pass or things like that.
