I am taking two days off out of my 5 (yes, low I know) after Christmas. I normally work 3 hours on a friday instead of the usual 6.

I was told this morning that because I was going on holiday for 2 days. I had to work the full 6 hours on the next two Fridays to make up my contracted 120 hours....

I know this doesn't seem right but I wanted to make sure this isn't right and hear other people's opinions before I stand up to them and cause a stir.

It's your vacation. You get paid to NOT work those days. Tell them you will do it if you will be getting paid overtime.

I must admit, I am getting sick of hearing these stories. Who do these bosses think they are? Is three hours of class worth completely pissing off your (atleast) one year employee and destroying "harmony" in the workplace? I think we should just round up all the current wangjangnims, beat them senseless and promise if they do crap like this anymore, they will be whisked away in the night and cornholed (will you help Otis?) until they renege on their stupidity.
