I have a flight that leaves Incheon at 9.50 am on Thursday 28th December next week. I am about 50 km north of Seoul, so it's going to be tight to get there by 8am. Most flights require check in at least an hour before departure. Some research found the 3300 bus from Ilsan. Has anyone used this bus, & is it running at 6-7 am? Frequency? The Munsan train line I am near, only has trains hourly with the earliest at 6.08 am. It takes over an hour to get to Seoul Station about 7.15 am.
Another option is to travel into Seoul next Wednesday night, stay overnight & then catch a shuttle bus from there. A taxi from Paju to Incheon would cost around 100000 won. |

If your flight is leaving at 9.50 you should plan to be there by 7.50 at the latest. It's going to be a very busy time to travel as school is just letting out and the queues are going to be something wicked.
Another option to think about is travelling to Incheon getting a yeogwan there and then catching the bus to the airport. |

Thanks crazylemongirl. Just looked at a map, & Seoul is hardly any closer to the International airport than Paju / Munsan. Incheon it is. I know how to get to Incheon subway stn & could catch a shuttle bus or taxi from there after an overnight stay in a cheap hotel.

If you get stuck you could always crash at the airport for the night. There is a 24hr sleeping room/sauna with showers, in the basement. |

When I was meeting my friend's early flight this year I booked a room at the Incheon Backpackers hostel.
The owner will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hostel and can arrange an early taxi for you to the airport.
It cost me 10,000 won for the taxi and about 30-35,000 won for the room. The hostel is basic, but in a nice rural setting.
Here is a link to their website: http://www.hostelz.com/hostel/60092-Incheon-Airport-Backpacker-Hostel
P.S I didn't get to meet the man in the lizard costume.

Do it man. You'll be tired enough flying home without wearing yourself out and worrying about missing the flight the same day. There's lots of cheapie love hotels next to Seoul Station; take a morning shuttle bus to the airport from the station. The bus is far less than a taxi and it's a quiet luxury bus, good for snoozing.

I ended up travelling 3.5 hours on Wednesday night, & overnighted at the Guesthouse Korea in Airport Town Plaza for 38,000 won. (free shuttle bus to & from Incheon airport only 5 mins away). |

i have a flight at 9:20am should I be considering to stay overnight at the airport? I live in Bundang.
As well to take the shuttle bus I can just pay the driver when I get on the bus correct? |

Take the shuttle, you live close enough to get there in plenty of time...just get an early morning one. I believe they begin running around 5am, but...you'll have to make some inquiries about where the nearest place to catch one is, and the schedule.. |
