I can't believe what just happened.
Six foreigners, topped with sparkly santa hats and swathed in red scarves, just swarmed the sleepy streets of Yongin and sang to everyone, whether they liked it or not.

We sang on the sidewalks, at street corners, in coffee shops, at the bus station, at the MacDonalds, to old security dudes in their huts.

Glorious! We made a lot of people smile.

The Yongin 6 are being sought for questioning by local authorities.

You guys should lay low for awhile or at least be prepared to leg it.

Sure, there was some of that too.

One nice moment was when we decided to sing just for the two ladies who were mopping up inside the clothing shop. We stood in a line outside the window and sang a verse of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas."

We even had song sheets. Some toothless drunk guy walked off with my page 2-- he said he was going to study it at home, but that was ok.

I think you will find most older Koreans won't be to surprised by this. My Christian friend told me that the Christians here used to go around caroling BEFORE 5:00 am Christmas morning to the houses of other church members. And it was full blown caroling too. They did this so as not to disturb anyone's Christmas morning Smile Anyway, it's still apparently done, but by very few people.

That's what eggs in the fridge are for, unless I was still awake from the night before, then I might join in.

Awww. The stone-faced cashier girl at Lotte Mart grinned at me today and asked if we were doing a repeat performance tonight. Very Happy
