I happened upon a gaming site on the net looking to kill an evening and a page (www.888.com) popped up. It seems the site I was looking at is a no-no here or something. Can anybody translate the following message:

귀하가 접속하려고 하는 사이트는 법률상 금지하는 불법적인 내용을 포함하고 있어

해당 사이트에 대한 접속이 차단되었음을 알려드립니다.

본 정보는 정보통신윤리위원회의 심의를 거쳐 전기통신사업법에 따라 적법하게 차단된 것이오니

이에 관한 의문사항이 있으시면 아래 해당 담당기관으로 문의하여 주시기 바랍니다.

Should I be expecting the cops to be breaking down my door?

You were more or less rejected.

The jist of it:

"The site you are trying to access has illegal content and the government is preventing access to it. If you continue the Korean anti-foreigner death squad will be outside your door in mins."

It's true except the last sentence. Did you try to access it multiple times? If so they flagged you...that's all.

Do NOT worry!!

nothing happens...

I have had so many of those notices pop upon my screen during the last 6 years - while viewing some naughty sites - but especially when I am viewing north-korean websites etc...

nobody comes knocking......

(and I live next door to HID ((Hidden intelligence Detachment Unit)) - all their cars (black vans) are parked outside my apartment...

nothing happens - don't worry...

P.S. - install and run - "Ad-Aware" and "Spybot - Search and Destroy" - both highly recommended by Microsoft - (free but effective) it deletes all tracking software, trojans etc......

Ad-Aware - http://www.adaware-antispyware.com/FreeAdAware/

Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

if you're viewing North Korean sites (or porn for that matter) I'd highly recommend you use a proxy server.

said proxy server is located at www.profixy.com. Useful for all sorts of anti-nanny state activities.

And I thought the West comprised the safety-conscious nanny states. Laughing

This and the Busan 9 debacle has put such claims to rest.
