As good, better, worse?
standards as high as Japanese sushi guys?

Japanese take the cake. They are meticulous!
Seriously making sushi is not as simple as slapping some rice onto some fish meat. The preparation involved is as vigorous as preparing Halal food, and even more so. |

I was Ok with the raw fish in both country, but I like the way they prepare the rice for sushi in japan (which is even more of an art-form than the fish). Also korean soy-sauce tastes completely different.
That say, they have very good raw fish dishes in korea too... just not sushi. |

Japan hands down. Then again I've only been to a korean sushi place once - big slabs of fish that was semi frozen - icicle sashimi and sushi didn't really do it for me |
