Does anyone know if any immigration offices are open on Saturdays? Mok-Dong would be best, but any will do. I have long work days while kids are on break and I need to pick up my passport and ARC.

Thanks in advance

I know the one in Daejon is not open on Saturdays. We asked last visit. It would be nice if I did not have to take time off and rush to get there before 6pm weekdays.

When did that change. They used to half-days on Saturday. At least they did about a year ago.

My God!!! if you cannot take a couple of hours to get your passport and ARC,,,you need to find a different employer. What will happen if immigration catches you on the street with no ARC? It's the law that you have to have it on you. Shocked

Regional immigration offices are CLOSED on the weekends. They are open for service Monday to Friday 9am - 4:pm (maybe 4:30).

The airport office is open 6am - 9pm / 365 days.

Immigration has never stopped me on the street and asked for my ARC though.

I was stopped once at the bus stop in Suwon. My wife has been stopped twice. They are pretty discreet when they ask to see your ARC. I thought the guy was trying to sell me something when he showed me his immigration badge. Shocked

5 years here and the wife and I have never been asked. Maybe cause we don't use or hang around the subways?
