A long shot, I know, but can Seoul residents tell me, is there ANYWHERE where you can find vegetarian sausages or hamburger patties, or felafel mix? I've reached my limit with tofu and bibimbap.

All-turkey or beef sausages would be great, too, if anyone can recommend a brand.

Falafel mix? MAYBE in one of the asian marts in Itaewon or other parts of the city. There is one near What The Book. I know they at least have a wide variety of lentils that you could make your own falafel out of.

Veggie meat and TVP can be gotten at some of hte veggie buffets run by seventh day adventists or buddhists (at least here in Busan). Ask a co-teacher to look one up for you. Some "well being" stores will have this stuff to.

SM Ching hai has the best selection of faux meats, including veggie hotdogs and stuff that tastes like sliced turkey...

You can find out how to get there and other detailed info relating to vegetarianism in Korea on this thread which I just bumped:

I can't live without falafels myself, have them at least once a week. I get the mix and hummos from veganessentials.com, the delivery is quick and the service is good, but the shipping makes it a bit expensive. Comes out to about 8,000 per box, but well worth it. The pita bread is at hannam market.

Pharaoh's falafel (also in Itaewon) is pretty good ... and more convenient than making it yourself, IMO.

The new deli under the Irish Wolfhound in Itaewon sells homemade chicken sausages which are excellent. They also have turkey ham.
