The oil producers didn't like the theory went they were trying to get us hooked on oil. Now that they've got us, they adhere to it as it drives up the oil prices. There's an interesting documentary that everyone should see, "Who killed the electric car". That should put things into perspective for you. |

| So oil goes up in price and makes the vast, vast reserves of tar sands and shale oil and gas hydrates profitable. They used to think there'd be "peak tin" and we'd all be doomed. But then they switched to aluminum. |
