One of the other foreign teachers I work with decided to enlighten me on a few things. She has been here for a year now, and would like to think she knows all there is to know about Korean men.
They are not attracted to Western women, and if they do date a a western woman it is because they think we are all sluts and will 'put out' fairly easily. Other than that we are not attractive at all.
They are also all very self centered and passive aggressive.
She told me to "stay away from Korean men; you won't get anywhere".
Funny thing is; I never asked her for any of this input. I didn't come out here to date Korean men, although I am not adverse to it if it is meant to be.
Unfortunately though-even though I try not to make general assumptions about anyone; I now have this feeling that the men out here will find me unattractive. Silly, I know!

Sounds like she got burned in the past.

I would say that in general you're not going to see a whole lot of Western women dating Korean men. I'm dating a Korean guy, and he admitted to me that the reason for this is that most Korean men are basically afraid of getting rejected by Western women. Which is a legitimate fear, I think, being that Asian men are constantly subjected to the "Asians have tiny penises" line all the time.

But I've found that in general, Korean men aren't really that more or less likely to be ATTRACTED to western women, they just may be less likely to approach them.

Korean men are, however, some of the vainest men you will ever meet.
