(I kept reading that as "monster-shaving"  Btw, I recently heard a radio drama starring Karloff, a programme called "Creeps By Night", in which he plays a barber who does away with his victims by means of a straight-edge razor as they're seated in his chair for a shave. An odd coincidence.)
