Where can i buy the macbook pro in Seoul? Someone told me the store in the Coex mall was closed. I dont want to order it online, i just want to go in and buy one.

Is is true that the macbook pros are not wireless??? Someone told me that i would have to buy the wireless card and bluetooth package from the states.

Many of the stores here that have the Apple logo on them sell Apple accessories, as well as iPod-related things. Trying to find a Macbook is either impossible, or pretty damn close. The Macbook is manufactured in China, so I'm not sure what the import tax would be here if you can even find it, but it'd be much more expensive to buy here, I would imagine. I don't know 100%, though. You can always try the Apple Service kiosk on one of the top floors of Technomart (floor 6 or 7 I think).

All of the new Macbooks, Pro or otherwise (these are the Intel-based Macs), are wireless and come Bluetooth-enabled as part of the standard package.

Hope it helps.

I ordered mine online so I could get a teacher's discount (they told me the store wouldn't do it,
but I have heard otherwise) and if you're getting the pro why not wait 2 days max to save some cash? You'll save at least 112,000 won by doing it that way.

I bought the Macbook and it had everything that would come with one purchased in the states.

What are the specs and what did the price come in at after the discount?

My MBP has been making some fan noise on the left side. I want to take it in to an Apple store in Seoul. Is there one in the COEX Mall? Do they perform service there too?

I just got the base config MBP with the 2.16ghz core duo and i ordered the airplane power plug. Those two together came to about 2,151,600. Minus 60,000 won for the airplane power plug Laughing

Personally, I'd have my sister buy it for me back in the states and have her mail it to me (opened, not in the origanal box) much cheaper and I sorta doupt that the versions here are the same as those sold for the US market.

I was pricing a Macbook yesterday and saw the airline power plug and wondered if I should get it. The thing was, I couldn't recall seeing any kind of outlet when flying, so I guess that's why. Lame, dude. Because I don't have the money to pay 2 grand for a ticket, I'm apparently too poor to own a laptop, is that what American Airlines is telling me? That's just straight elitism right there. Where's DDuebel when you need him.
