"S Koreans offered cash for no sex
Male workers who vow to stay away from prostitutes after year-end celebrations in South Korea are to be rewarded.
The Ministry for Gender Equality is offering cash to companies whose male employees pledge not to pay for sex after office parties.

Men are being urged to register on the ministry's website. The companies with most pledges will receive a reward.

Officials say they want to put an end to a culture in which men get drunk at parties and go on to buy sex.

But some critics have described the move as a waste of money.

Despite new anti-prostitution laws passed in 2004, the practice is said to be widespread in South Korea, with some estimates suggesting more than one million people work in the sex industry. " Rolling Eyes

Another big waste of cash.

So they have to have sex with their wives?
That just ain't right.
Still they could give their wives the 'gift' as nice present.

Me i'd take the gift and spend it on higher class prostitutes Twisted Evil

Korea is kind of an interesting country. You have your sprinkling of Evangelical style Christians flourishing here and then you have a huge amount of prostitution as well. It is just so bizarre. Korea, in some ways, reminds me of the Middle East, but it is definitely somewhat better (except the food in the Middle East is a bit better for Westerners) because Korea has so many cases of unpaid workers, people having their passports taken, attempts to engage in human type trafficing, as well, with foreigners and then this moral indignation of Korea being superior in values makes the foreigner scratch his or her head. As far as prostitutes, you hear of cases where they will refuse a Westerner. That is clearly bigotry. It is probably because they are afraid of losing Korean clientele.
