I usually like any girl's name that ends with an 'a'.

My daughter, Leia, is about as beautiful as it gets for me. Love those 3 vowels together like that...

If and when I decide to have kids, I want to give them names that are a little different and unique but not too crazy (like Moon Unit or Apple). I hope I will avoid ever naming my kid something trendy. I like old fashioned names like Sophia, Rose, and Johanna. I think those are coming back into style now. I used to love the name Michaela because I thought it was a beautiful older name that I didn't hear very often. That was before everyone started naming their kids Micheala and changing the spelling (Mikayla, Makayla, etc...) Right now I like the names Eva, Rowan, Reagan, and Mira.

Korean:

Mi-na

English:

Elizabeth, Margarete (after my grandmother), Gwenyth, Cameron, Grace, Hope, Yarrow, names ending in "a" like Angela, Althea, Bella, Allethia (the name of a ballet dancer I once admired).
In the past I used to like: Tataiyana. (If you want her to be a gymnast)
Definetely I would say that I like names that people might describe as "royal and/or aristocratic"...Names that have stood the test of time...
Even names like Mary are great...How about "Estelle?" I know a baby that was recently named "Estelle" and it was perfect !!!

**** absolutely NO : Jenny, Jennifer, Jen, Amy, Sara, Sarah, Michelle, Cathy, Stacey, Kris, Kristy, Christine, Christina, Chrissy...There are a whole bunch more that have been used to death that must account for millions and millions of women in this world !!! When I meet new people with these names, I always think "Ok...she's the girl with the boring name"

Sorry to those girls named these names, its not anything personal !!!! Smile

I'll just list names that were popularized in pop songs that I like: Michelle, Layla, Sheila, Cherie, Donna, Madonna, Cathy, Carol, Sara, Gloria (G-L-O-R-I-A), Wendy (Beach Boys), Windy, Wild Thing, Angie, Alice, Amanda, Barbera Ann, Bernadette, Brandy, Dawn, Denise (Denise) , Diana, Venus, Jane, Janie (she's got a gun...), Jenny, Judy, Laura, Loraine, Lola (?), Lily, Maggie May, Maria, Mary Lou, Maybelline, Paula (Hey Paula...), Rhonda, Rosalita, Sally (my mother's name) Susie, Sue, Valleri (the Monkees...)

OK, at a certain point I did an internet search to jog my memory:

Finally Very Happy. I was starting to think I had a bad name Crying or Very sad

As a side note, I hate the latest fad of misspelling a common name. That's giving a kid a life-long PITA.

I've always liked the names Justine and Danielle. Plus they fit well with my last name, which I think has to be an important consideration.
