So I have found a job that is a million times better than my current one, although I know my current employer will not give me a letter of release. This is what is stated in the contract - does this mean I still need a LOR?
"The employee and employer will give at least 30days notice in writing before the termination date of the contract.... The employee has two weeks within which to sign a notice of termination and accompany the Employer to the Korean Immigration office to notify the Korean Immigration Office of the termination." |

Are you bowing out of your contract early? I know of someone who sorta "tricked" his boss into getting him a letter of release. Type a letter where you and your boss mutually agree that your employment officially ends on said date. Have your boss put his red-colored stamp mark on it and you sign it. If he asks why, just say that the labor board requires it. Voila! You got a release letter. I hope this helps, you may want to hear other opinions as well. |

It's not me, it's a friend's friend. But when I was young, I would routinely get chased by a fierce rooster we had at our old house long time ago, and I would taunt it in much the same way. His pecks would hurt a lot if he caught you. Brings back a lot of memories. |
