I was hiking up Sangdang Mountain in Cheongju to a feast of dubu an makkoli that awaited us at the top. What a good way to celebrate the death of a major scumbag.

Saddam Hussein was a fine man. Such a waste, he was the best hope for peace The Mid-East had.

I didn't like the guy. He was a mass murder who committed genocide.
However, he was brought into powers by his creators outside of Iraq and they helped destroy him. It was wrong of the U.S. to go against Abdel Karim Kassem and put the Ba'athists in power. The Kurds and others suffered because of it and then a mess was created in which about 3,000 American soldiers have died. I didn't enjoy watching a noose over him anymore than over any man, but he lived by the sword, and he died by it.

This will be an interesting discussion.

I have a hardtime feeling much of anything about SH being killed. It is all such a bloody mess.

I saw the footage of him at the gallows..as you probably all have.

of course..its sad to see a man go to his death.
Its sad that people like this come to exist. Its sad that the world creates monsters.

I hope this is for the good of Iraq. The old has gone, the new has come.

really? how so.

i said i hope good comes out of this for Iraq. By the old has gone, I mean an era of tyranny has passed. The new, is an opportunity for a better Iraq.
