I don't normally like extreme language, recognizing that we live in a world of grays (and shades thereof!), one where "the truth" is often difficult, if not impossible, to establish.

However, I can offer DEFINITIVE, AIR-TIGHT PROOF that the man just tried and executed as "Saddam Hussein" was in fact someone else.

I read The Big Pharoah's blog. This is what he has to say about the execution:

Who Executed Saddam?
The answer to this question really depends on who you are.

Iraqi Shias:
Saddam was executed by Iraqis. He got what he deserved. He paid for the crimes committed against Iraqis and Shias in particular.

Iraqi Kurds:
Saddam was executed by Iraqis. He got what he deserved. He paid for the crimes committed against Iraqis and Kurds in particular.

Iraqi Sunnis:
The Shias executed Saddam. No matter what we think about his reign, his removal removed us from Iraq.

Kuwaitis:
Saddam was executed by Iraqis. That was the best Eid gift ever.

All other Arabs and Muslims:
The Americans executed Saddam and they've done so during the first day of the Muslim feast to humiliate us and show our leaders what awaits them if they stood against the US.

The Big Pharaoh:
I don't give a hoot about who executed Saddam nor about Saddam himself. Tomorrow a Sunni suicide bomber will slam his explosives laden vehicle in a group of Shias killing 60 or 70 of them. The next day, 10 Shias will kidnap 20 Sunnis, beat them, drill holes in their knees, and then shoot them execution style. After all this, can someone please tell me why I should care about Saddam?

Kurds also believe the Shiites, in a way, executed him. He didn't go on trial for crimes committed against the Kurds. There is a fear by some Kurds, as well, that the Shiites will try to be too domineering. The Kurds, of course, can block that to some extent. Perhaps, one day the Sunni Kurds and Sunni Arabs, among the moderates, may get in an alliance with one another.
