It depends on the type and quality of the wood (generally, maple) and the thickness of the top. Some are just a thin veneer or a print (foto flame), which defeats the main purpose of adding a bit of brightness to mahogany body of the guitar. |

| Any experience with Corts? I've heard they're good for the price, but they're a mystery to me since they lack the sexiness of your names like Gibson or Fender... |

I bought a Cort acoustic-electric (have yet to plug it in though!) for 200,000 a couple of years ago. Very playable and decent sound.
I think picking a guitar kind of depends on the style of music you want to play and purely physical things, like if you have big or small hands. Fender-style guitars are good for small-handed people and Gibson for large. That varies a lot though. It's just a rule of thumb! It's best just to stroll around Nakwon and pick and strum whatever catches your eye. Hope you're good at tuning-up though!! Nakwon guitars are never in tune!! |

I dig yah. The epiphone I got feels right in my stubby fingers so I think it was a good choice when all is said and done.
Now I... just gotta get better at playing it. |

I've heard several Corts played and compared with a Swing Classi 2. The Swing beat them all tone wise (it's got a nice thick maple top, by the way). |

You know, a while ago I got that Epiphone. And even though I've been playing for something like two and a half months, every time I look at it on it's stand, I think to myself, "That's my ax! Yeah!" And even if I get more guitars of better quality in the future, that Epiphone will always be "my ax".
It's kind of a rocking feeling.
I-is this... guitar love?! |
