Hi,

I need to buy 2nd hand computer and wanted some advice about what I should be looking/ asking for. I am going to use it for quite basic stuff: downloading movies and music; skype; internet; my camera and mp3 player etc + I wanted to use it to play DVD's and link it to my TV.

So what do I need? How much should I pay?

Any help appreciated...

Dan

Any new entry level machine with a video card that has TV out can do what you want.

You can get a new one including monitor for around 500-600k won at Yongsan.

Take a walk around. Prices are listed on boards outside each booth. Prices are listed in man won so if you see a price of 45... that is 45 man won or 450k won.

A new 17" LCD monitor can be had for about 160k won. A used 19" CRT monitor can be had for 30k won.

Why piss around with a used system?

Tell us what you want to spend, we'll tell you what you can get.

Well I guess I am looking to spend as little as possible.

I could spend 600,000 but I would be happier spending 300,000. My thinking is that the benefit of a ewer/ better system wouldn't be that pronounced for what I use it for and I would lose more money when I came to resell it. So what can/ should I get?

Tell me if I am wrong.....
