honestly, if hand amputations for convicted thiefs were the worst thing about Arab or Islamic culture, that would be a good thing. It would mean a lot of other problems plaguing those parts of the world would have been solved.

Alas, if one has the right connections and enough money for a bribe, one can get away with murder (literally), stealing, or some other crime in Saudi and other arab nations. Now that's a problem.
