I don't know where to buy Tevas, but I've seen their signs in hiking/camping shops in Seoul. There are many around the stations near Bukhansan and Suraksan. Suyu station also has a couple of hiking/camping shops. |

Around Dongdaemoon and the stadium there are quite a few adventure supply stores that sell good quality expediation backpacks, as to sandals, they did in the summer, but regarding the time of year, I don't know. |

Also, go to one of the major dept. stores, they might not sell Teva, but the usually have North Face and Columbia stores which sell good quality trekking sandals. |

More like the standard duds for the "backpacker" in Thailand. Frankly, us long-timers cringe when we see one walking our way. |

There are some good backpacking and camping shops just outside Namdaemun Market. I wouldn't be surprised if you can find sandals there too. There are two routes to get there:
ROUTE 1
Take the subway to Hoehyeon station. Go out exit 6. Walk straight for a couple hundred meters. The stores are on your right.
ROUTE 2
If you're inside Namdaemun Market, follow signs on the ground for Gate 5 or 6.
If you go to Gate 6, step just outside the gate and turn left on the sidewalk. The shops are about 100 meters on your left.
If you go to Gate 5, step just outside the gate and turn right on the sidewalk. The shops are about 100 meters on your right.
I hope this helps! |

Now that you are obviously a "local", right? Spare me the "hipper-than-thou" remarks, please.

Sorry, I'll haul my new Jordans and suitcase all through my tour of SE Asia this winter. Or my Italian suits and briefcase.
My original post was seeking helpful advice, and thanks for those with the class enough to give it. |
