My university has just spent several million won remodelling the bathrooms in the Liberal Arts building, for which I am sincerely grateful as the previous versions were disgusting, to say the least. However, they have installed glass doors -- transparent glass doors, that's right -- so that for men at least, I can stand at a urinal on display to whomever is walking by. (Women and those doing #2, it should be noted, can hide in the individual stalls.) Can anyone please come up with ONE GOOD REASON why someone would think this is a good idea? I dare you.

Kyrei

Okay. I'll give you the Arirang reason.

Glass doors help to improve the jung between coworkers. With so much concrete and brick surrounding us each day, we begin to forget that we are all Koreans, and Koreans naturally have to relieve themselves. This simple design allows us to get in touch with one another, even on such a small scale. Through this bond, we will create a happy university!

Yeah, it is pretty stupid, but you know, most of the time the doors are wide open anyways for the whole hallway to have a look in. I don't even think about it anymore, and if anything am happy for the door being open to provide some much needed air circulation.

Very good, I thank you for the chuckle. It shed some light on the situation.

This is my favorite so far, as I am sure it is at least partially true. Z, you seem to understand Koreans very well... hats off to you.
