8125, that looks familiar. Are you in the Masan region? I think that might be the car I helped my buddy buy about 7 years ago from a used car lot. I've heard it's been through the hands of a couple of foreigners since he sold it about 5 years ago. |

Yea. that's the very same car
There's only 1 of them in Korea.
Seriously, are you bored or something?
The plates are from a different city/province, even if the numbers were the same, it's not the same car.. Even if it were the same car from Masan, I'd need to get new plates when I changed the city.. Those old plates would be very dead.
I can't say how many owners this has had, but I bought it from an old Korean guy who had it for years.
Anyways, it looks like it has been sold, and this guy has first take on the car, but until the money is in the bank it's still for sale.
Edit: I will thank you for bumping my ad though
Can you rubbish my PC also, it needs a bump as well. |

I'm not saying it's the same car, just hoping it was the same. It would have been an interesting coincidence.
You need to adjust your asking price. It's a bit high for the year.

I'll entertain your edits with one of my own... I have test driven many 'cheap' cars here, and this one had it all over any other car in the price range. I have repaired many things on this car, and it runs perfectly. Just because it is older than another car doesn't mean it is in worse shape (cheaper).
It is very solid unlike these toys people drive around these days. I would prefer my family to ride in this rather than something with the body strength of a shopping cart. It is also fuel efficient, comfortable, powerful, spacious and reliable.
I already have a buyer who is more than happy to pay the asking price, however it is 'a little' difficult for him to get the required paperwork in order due to work restrictions, and not being closely tied to a Korean hinders the process also.
I am leaving the ad up to cover my bases. To my knowledge the car is sold, but I don't have the cash in my hand yet.
Now, my car is for sale, if you are interested... make me an offer, if you are not.........

Oh, I have no doubt it's a good car. My buddy and I drove through the nasty typhoon that hit Kimhea 6 or 7 years ago in his Capital. The wind was so strong, trash cans, roadsigns, and broken branches would fly across the highway...but you'd never know it from the way the car stuck to the road. I'm just saying the for a 1990, it seems a bit much...unless the buyer really doesn't have to put any money on repairs.
You computer, by the way, seems like a better buy...but it's basically the same specs mine has, so I'll pass. |

maybe i was a little hard on you after your first post.. but from what i read though, it seemed you were suggesting my car had been bought, thrashed, and sold by many people in a short time..
There is not 1 single thing that needs to be repaired.. if there was, i'd have repaired it..
when i bought it, it was a bit loose at highway speed... so i replaced the ball joints, rotated & balanced the tyres, and got a wheel alignment.. fixed that little problem.
a few weeks later i noticed a hole in the exhaust.. when it was up on hoist i saw it was just behind the rear muffler, but, upon closer inspection, there were going to be other problems in the near future.. so, i replaced the whole exhaust system from the engine pipe to the rear muffler.
then it started to use a bit of water, i took it to a mechanic who pressure tested the cooling system.. he found a small hose was leaking.. fixed it, no biggie.. but, because we had to empty the radiator, i had him flush out the entire cooling system anyway.
Then, 1 day, i was bored, so i took it to the mechanic and got him to service it.. he changed the oil, and every filter but the fuel filter, he checked it and it wasn't restricted at all, so he didn't change it. he checked the plugs, and they were still kinda new, so he didn't change them either.
it doesn't use or leak a drop of water
it doesn't use or leak a drop of oil
it starts first kick every time
as i mentioned in the op, there is nothing to spend on this car.
why should i sell it cheaper just because it is a little older than the other tin cans on the road here? 800 bucks is fucking peanuts anyway.
i know, it's a 1990 model, i'm in korea, and i must conform to the understanding that age and fashion = value. not me, i have my own brain.
and, to be perfectly honest, i wish i could take it home with me because despite its age, i won't be able to find a car as good for 8 times the price in AUD, but that is just silly now, isn't it?
bottom line - my car is for sale, and if you are interested, contact me.
about the pc, i didn't mean for you to buy it, just comment or say it's an old shitter so the ad would get bumped. |

Not at all. I was simply stating that the car still is on the road after all those years. I'd say that's a pretty strong testimonial of how strong those cars are.
I'm not saying it's expensive because it's a 1990, I'm saying it's a bit expensive when I compare it to the other 1990 to 1994 Capital's I found on the net (of course, I checked)...but if your car is in great shape, then it's probably a fair deal. |
