I bought a Japanese Fuji-Film S9000 from Yongsan (the official Korean model is the S9500). I accepted that, being a grey import, it'd have no warranty, but I was saving 150,000W. However, it's been nothing but problems. I had to get the flash repaired which cost 37,000. Had it been an official camera with an expired warranty, it would've cost less. Now, the sound is f**ked, and they tell me it'll cost 200,000!!! Tahnkfully, I never do movies.
Morale of the story: Don't buy grey-imports. Not only will you not have a warranty, but
a) it seems they are more likely to go wrong
b) when they do go wrong, you'll get fleeced a second time
