| Has anyone done a visa run to Hong Kong? I'm a New Zealander I tried to get the visa in London but they wouldn't do it. Can I get it done in Hong Kong anyone know? |

I just did my visa run in Hong Kong last week. The Korean consulate is on the fifth floor of a building in Central near the amusement park. No flags or signs at the door though. I had someone write "Korean consulate" in Chinese and showed it to a taxi driver.
I gave them my passport, the registration number which my employer had already obtained in Korea and emailed me, a photo and 400 HK$ and got my passport back with the visa the next morning. Very fast and smooth. good luck! |

| I just noticed in your message that you mentioned you couldn't get the visa in London. Maybe you want to make sure everything is taken care of first (by your school). Otherwise you might have the same problem in Hong Kong. The same set of rules apply everywhere no matter which country you go for visa run. Your employer needs to get you a registration number in Korea and send it to you. no more contracts or blue forms to take to the embassy on your part. |
